WHAT I DO
Welcome to "McGoldrick Racing" my name is Michael McGoldrick Jr. and I live in Leyden Mass. I am 14 yrs old. I started my driving career the day after I turned 5 years old
I attend Frontier Regional School. I also enjoy playing other sports they are Hockey , Baseball and Football for Frontier School I have 2 older brothers and an older sister. 3 Dogs and 4 cats.
I raced Go Karts at Stafford Motor Speedway in the Tiger Cub division then moved up to the Tiger series. I was very successful racing there with multiple wins. When I turned 10 I was told I could race at Monadnock Speedway in Winchester New Hampshire when I turned 11. In this division I could drive a full size car on a ¼ mile track. This age group was for 12-16 year olds but since I raced karts and had the experience I could start at 11 years old.
I had a Great first season; I won my first race the 12th race in. I finished the season with 1 win 2 seconds and 4 thirds. The car I drove was a 2001 Chevy Cavalier. These cars are set up just like a normal race car but have to remain stock. They have a full roll cage and all they safety devices a normal race car would have. The Young Guns is a learning division and fields up to 17 cars on some race nights. My 2nd season ( last yr) i won 5 times and had multiple podiums and won the title of "Triple Crown Champ" It was time to move up.
For the 2015 Season I am racing in the Ministock division. I am learning more nad more every week. Going from front wheel drive to rear wheel with no power steering is a challege but one im willing to conquer.
